Meghalaya Yug - Geo-Scientists claim to discover a new age on earth. Due to the layers of deposited stalagmites on the floor of a cave called Mawmluh in Meghalaya, it has helped in the discovery of Meghalaya age. This is the reason that it is named the Meghalaya age. This age continues till 4200 years ago. In the research of a body called International Commission on Stratigraphy, the Meghalaya age has emerged. International Commission on Stratigraphy is a body of International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). Drishti prepares such programmes for the purposes of civil services examination.
