PASTURE-RAISED:
Dr. Berg talks about the truth on consuming chickens. There’s 9 billion chickens and turkeys sold every single per year and 99.9% of it are factory-farmed. In 1925, it took a 125 days to grow and mature a chicken and nowadays it would only take 47 days to a full adult chicken. He also talks about the type of chicken to consume which is the “Pasture-raised and Organic” chicken.
CAFO’s or Confined Animal Feeding Operations
• Antibiotics – Found in the chicken
• Arsenic – Poison and it makes the chicken meat very pink. It is a highly concentrated in the feathers – they use the feather to feed as a feed the chickens. And later found residues of Benadryl, Acetaminophen, Prozac and they used it for anxiety.
• Caffeine
• Vegetarian Feed – It is really GMO grains like corn and soy.
Type of Chicken
• Cage-free –no longer in the cage. They are able to live the cage and go into the barn which is about a hundred thousands of chickens in a small space.
• Free Range –no longer in the cage, they are in the barn but there is a hole and they can live the barn occasionally (they have the access to live the barn).
• Pasture raised – They are outside the barn.
So you definitely do not want to eat chicken again until you watch this video. Did you realize that there's 9 billion chickens and turkeys sold every single year and 99.9% of them are factory-farmed. They are very very cheap. The other day I was in the grocery store with my videographer and we are looking at the food and they had this fully cooked chickens for $4, I am thinking how could they afford to sell this because the grocery store needs a profit, the distribution center needs a profit. How much do they really invest in feeding these animals and taking care of them. Now it is really interesting that in 1925 it took a 125 days to grow and mature a chicken. Nowadays, it takes a 47 days days, a month and a half to a full adult chicken. Incredible. Now there is a thing called CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations) this is a part of factory farming. Now I am gonna put links below on this next topic but when they are testing what's in the chicken and what's in the feathers and the beak and the claws, they found antibiotics. Antibiotics which were banned previously but they found antibiotics. So I am trying to figure out how it got in there. Now they found arsenic and arsenic is a poison and arsenic makes the chicken meat look very very pink and it also acts as antibiotic. Arsenic is a highly concentrated in the feathers. The problem is they use the feathers as a feed to feed the chicken.
