Student sex video may lead to charges

An investigation is underway after a video reportedly surfaced of two minors having sex in a school hallway. The Lawrence police chief told The Eagle Tribune that the video was sent to him Monday and shows two students engaging in what is described as consensual sexual activity in a hallway at Lawrence High School. The incident apparently happening in August, after school following an extra-curricular activity. But the video has circulated on social media which could lead to charges not only for the pair involved but anyone who shared the video. A school spokesperson released a statement that says in part, “While at this time it appears to have taken place earlier this fall following an after-school extracurricular event, an investigation is ongoing." The students involved face disciplinary action and possible criminal charges and anyone who shared the video could face child pornography charges.
